We’ve been married for two years and are loving every minute of it.  It’s incredible to see how God has intertwined our separate lives to make us one.  I really enjoy the support my wife gives me and the understanding and appreciative heart she has for what I do. She is very talented and works and co-owns a flower shop, Floral Designs, here in Morton with her mother.

The people, by far the best staff I think I could ever work for and with. We have fun here and everyone puts up with me and my antics so in my book, they’re definitely the best.

I love golfing any time I get a chance, ping pong, anything active and outside, but golfing is by far my favorite thing to do.

What you like most about your job/workplace:

The fact that I get parts discounts and the labor is free.  Just my personal time in each job.

Hobbies/Things you enjoy during your free time:

Spend time with the family unit.  Camping.  Target Shooting.  Attending Car shows, Building plastic model muscle cars (the reason i became and auto enthusiast!)

Favorite Food:  anything cooked on the grill!

People- I love relationships.  I have thousands of friends because Lighthouse.  And the people who I have the privilege to work with everyday are the best.

Principled atmosphere, high morale, empowerment as an individual contributing to a team effort.  I appreciate that all doors are “open” with access to upper management, ownership.

Motorcycling, home projects, reading, antiquing and St Louis Cardinal Baseball.  Not necessarily in that order!

Wife Nadine–44.  She keeps very busy with the daily needs of the following:

Ashley–21.  Lab/EKG tech.  Works at the OSF outpatient center and her husband, Bob Schieler–25 heads the trim division at the homeway homes plant in Deer Creek.  Great son-in-law!  They just had a baby boy Braden.  Cutest kid you ever did see!  Not kidding.

Arlen–19.  Works with me here at Lighthouse.  1 more year to go at ICC.

Kyla–16.  CNA at Eureka AC nursing home.  Will be a senior at Eureka High School.

Kristen–13 going on 16!  Will be an 8th grader at Eureka Middle School.  Enjoys her puppy.

Tara–11.  Will be a 6th grader at EMS.  Enjoys school and anything relaxing.  Loves the pool!

Tamra–9.  4th grader at Congerville Grade School.  Full of energy and enjoys her new nephew.

how many years at Lighthouse Automotive: 

I have been at Lighthouse for 10 years as a sales consultant.  Previously I was at Rieger Motors in Forrest, IL for 20 years, working as a tech, parts and service manager, and eventually sales the last 6 years.  it was a very valuable experience that I was able to bring here to Lighthouse Automotive.  I am very thankfull for all the past customers that have followed me from over 70 miles away and also the new customers that have given me the opportunity to serve them here the past 10 years.

What you like most about your job/workplace:

I appreciate the opportunity to work at a place of business where integrity, honesty, and customer satisfaction are of utmost importance from the owner on down.  I always feel empowered and supported to make sure the customer is taken care of.  The rewarding part of the job is the repeat and referral business.

Hobbies and things you enjoy during your free time:

I enjoy fishing and vacationing with the family.  Any time I can find to spend with the kids is always a great time (not enough of it).  I have recently become a Eureka School Board Member and am thankful for the opportunity to service our kids and community.  Time spent with our extended familes and church family is always enjoyed.
